Displays a frames-per-second counter in the corner of your screen. Essential for verifying that your frame rate matches your com_maxfps setting and is completely stable during chaotic fights. Modern PCs that maintain 250+ fps can turn it off once optimized.
Displays a real-time netgraph tracking your connection to the server. 0 off; 1 graph; 2 graph+ping. 2 diagnoses loss/lag.
Displays your exact horizontal Velocity (UPS - Units Per Second). Useful for practicing your Strafe Jumping technique in empty maps. 0 off; 1/2 graph; 3 number. 0 match, 3 practice.
Controls the notification that appears when you pickup an item. Competitive duelers often use the Timestamp options (5 or 7) to automatically log the exact game-clock time they picked up an item. 0-7 combos (icon/name/timestamp). 5 logs time+icon for math.
Displays the 2D face icon and name of the last player to damage you. Off reduces clutter.
Displays floating medals (like 'Excellent' or 'Impressive') at the top of your screen. Off clears upper view.
Spawns floating '+1' or '-1' text balloons that rise from players' bodies when a score happens. This creates massive visual clutter in the 3D world. Off eliminates world text.
Displays 'You Fragged X' text in the center of the screen. Many top players disable this to prevent text from blocking their crosshair during multi-kills, relying on the top-left obituary feed instead.
Master toggle for large center-screen broadcast messages (like '1 Minute Warning' or 'Tie Break!'). Leaving this On is recommended so you don't miss critical match state announcements.
Controls how long (in milliseconds) the large center-screen messages remain visible before fading out. Shorter quicker dismiss.
Adjusts the vertical position of center-screen messages. Decrease the value (e.g., -50) to push the text higher up and further away from your crosshair, clearing the crosshair.
Displays 'Match Starting' and 'Warmup' information. Highly recommended to keep On so you know exactly when the live round begins.
Blocks all global chat from the enemy team, ensuring only your teammates' messages appear on screen. For most public servers, this is not optimal as you will not be seeing any chat from most other players. Turn on for tourney focus.
Limits the maximum number of chat lines displayed on the screen at once. Competitive players lower this (3 or 4) so that spamming chat doesn't blind their crosshair during fights.
Sets the duration (in milliseconds) that teammate chat messages remain on screen. Many players increase this to 5000+ so they don't miss important weapon drop calls during firefights.
Sets the time (in seconds) that standard global chat and system notifications remain on screen. Balanced readability.
Sets the location of the speaking icon that appears when a player uses in-game Voice Chat. 0 off; 1 left; 2 right.
