s_mixPreStep
Pre-build buffer step time in seconds, used with s_mixahead for smooth audio mixing. Must always stay noticeably smaller than s_mixahead (good margin recommended). This editor only recommends users to test any s_mixahead value higher than or equal to 0.08, so never go below 0.03 here. Default 0.05 is what 99% of stable configs and pros use.
Pro Tip
Keep the default 0.05 in almost all cases. If you have lowered your s_mixahead to 0.10 or below, you may need to drop this to 0.03 or 0.04 to ensure the audio buffer stays filled. Always test this in a busy 16-player server; if you hear "stuttering" raise it back up. Crucial: Never let this value get close to your s_mixahead value, or sounds will cut out entirely.
