If Off, the weapon bar only displays weapons you currently possess. If On, it displays the entire arsenal, greying out the weapons you don't have. Off leaves less clutter but on leaves a consistent display that doesn't adjust itself in width leaving screen visualization consistent.

Leave this OFF — the bar only showing weapons you actually have keeps the HUD perfectly clean and consistent so your muscle memory always knows exactly where to look.
